The Optimum Patient Care database is multi-dimensional, including not only practice data, but also patient data collected from tailored questionnaires. This data enables researchers to draw better correlations between treatment effectiveness and different patient profiles or experiences.
The Optimum Patient Care Research Database (OPCRD) provides the following data sets to facilitate real life research:
- Data from X participating GP Surgeries in over X locations across the UK
- UK-wide database with a total of X patients
OPCRD comes with ethical approval from the Health Research Committee for the purposes of ethically approved research (Research Ethics Committee Ref: 10/H0405/3) and is provided free of charge for organisations engaged in non-commercial research.
- All patient data is anonymised, and included only under the signed approval of the lead GP for each practice
- Treatment and intervention data is collected from primary care providers’ systems using Optimum Patient Care software for the most accurate and up-to-date information
