Optimum Patient Care is conducting a series of educational workshops and clinical review programs for GPs, clinicians, and respiratory nurses at no cost. The program is delivered in partnership with the local CCG. Participants interact with international and local experts in asthma and COPD on how to improve respiratory care, using real life case studies.
GPs are supported to undertake a clinical review program in their practices using patient questionnaires and clinical data. The program assist GPs to identify their at-risk patients. Our multidisciplinary team of experts also supports participating GPs to develop GP management plans for quality improvement.
The speakers include renowned specialist in respiratory medicine Prof David Price, Dr Rupert Jones, Dr Daryl Freeman, Dr Ian Small, Dr Dermot Ryan and local specialists.

Prof David Price is a Professor of Primary Care Respiratory Medicine at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He is the founder and director of Optimum Patient Care Global and Observational & Pragmatic Research Institute in Singapore. David is Editor-in-Chief of Pragmatic and Observational Research and member of the editorial board of several respiratory journals, including Lancet Respiratory Medicine.
Dr Daryl Freeman is a GP in rural North Norfolk, a respiratory GP Lead for North Norfolk CCG and a member of Respiratory Education Alliance. Together they provide independent respiratory education around the globe using interactive methods ensuring delegates receive evidence based messages in a truly memorable fashion.
Dr Dermot Ryan is a GP in Loughborough with a long standing interest in respiratory disease and allergy as managed within primary care. He was chairman of the Primary Care Respiratory Society during which time he oversaw the establishment of an academic unit of Primary Care Respiratory Medicine at the University of Aberdeen. Dermot is an ex-chair of the Respiratory Effectiveness Group.
