Daryl Freeman is a family doctor based in North Norfolk specialising in the care of the elderly. Within the practice Dr Freeman is the respiratory and research lead.
Daryl is also one of the Clinical Directors for the East of England Strategic Clinical Network. The function of the network is to encourage commissioners to adopt policies which improve the care of patients with respiratory disease within the East of England. The network encourages Trusts to work together across boundaries to develop care pathways and improve the care of patients and their carers.
Dr Freeman’s responsibilities also involve working with the local hospitals to provide seamless respiratory care for patients across the County of Norfolk. This involves planning their care on discharge from hospital and caring for them in the community.
Dr Freeman is a director of REA a company providing respiratory education around the world and a member of the Respiratory Effectiveness Group which aims to increase the awareness and availability of real life research in respiratory disease.
